Kanye West Creates Limited Range of Scarves

Rapper/producer/style savant/Tory Burch menswear test case Kanye West made fashion headlines (again) when he reached out to M/M Paris’ Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag to create a limited range of scarves based on the George Condo paintings that he commissioned for his latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. (Condo’s image of an angel in flagrante made the cover—where, that is, it wasn’t censored.) News on the scarves has been circulating, but the scarves themselves have yet to go on sale. That changes Monday, when they go hit MMParis.com and Colette, in editions of 100. The five designs include a take on the album’s cover (”Phoenix,” below); a crowned, perhaps Kanye-esque head stuck with a sword (”Power,” bottom); two screaming faces (”Face” and “Priest”); and our favorite, “Ballerina” (above). The French-made, silk twill scarves all feature Condo’s paintings, with hand-lettered borders by M/M Paris.

As for these trendy, crafty wrist accessories, I own enough for now, perhaps everyone should get a piece or two...'cos a trendy wrist accessory to that outfit gets you looking stylish.

Now, how about that for a spiced up wardrobe affair?

Accessories Report: The Tiny Belt Trend

The latest trend in accessories is the tiny belt which seems to be everywhere these days.I'm loving dearly and also rocked couple times.

Examples of celebrities that rocked the trend include; Studio 53 Extra Presenter, Eku Edewor, stylist and PR manager for JBL label, Zara Okpara, female music artiste, ChiDynma, style icon, Funke Fowler, Nigeria's top female actress, Genevieve Nnaji, Ono Bello, one of my favourite designer Wana Sambo, Ezinne Chinkata, Omowunmi Akinnifesi, etc

Also, 10 ways to wear the belt look:

1.One of the best ways to wear a belt is to show off a small waist.

2.The addition of a belt on low-rise jeans gives it a mod, casual chic vibe and pulls the entire look together.

3.Sometimes a print can look overwhelming on its own, and a black or dark belt can "ground" the print.

4.Make your waist a focal point with a fabulous belt buckle that doubles as a piece of jewelry.

5.Big, loose layers aren't flattering on anyone, so the best way to create a feminine silhouette is to add a belt to your top layers.

6.If you want to get more mileage out of your separates by mixing and matching pieces, add a belt to pull it all together.

7.Nothing looks chicer than mixing together formal and casual looks for a unique style, a tiny belt does just that.

8.Use a belted waist to create the illusion of an hourglass figure.

9.Not all belts need to be at the waist - Wearing a hip belt -- whether it's on a tunic or a low-slung skirt or dress -- visually lengthens the torso and gives short-waisted women the illusion of a balanced figure.

10.Wear a studded belt to add edge - add a studded leather belt to basics to give everything you own an edgy look. The trick is to keep other accessories free from studs (there is a thing as too much embellishment.)
