The Futrure Awards Reveals Nominees List

The brightest and the best: Full Nominees List for The Future Awards Unveiled! Reception holds December 19!

It’s the most anticipated list this year! The Future Awards, Nigeria’s most influential youth event, after unveiling its spectacular Young Person of the Year nominees has week, has now released the full Nominees List for all 21 categories.

All the nominees will be celebrated at an invitation-only media and VIP Nominees Reception on Sunday December 19, 2010 – where they will also be inducted into the elite The Future Alumni Network. The event will also be an opportunity to raise money for Love on the Streets, an NGO working with disadvantaged children of the Dustbin Estate, Lagos.

2011 Grammy Nominations: Eminem Leads The Pack

Okay, at this point, perhaps it can be said officially that Eminem's back to the 'game' fully. He's already got the year's best-selling album (and a pair of the biggest singles), and now he's the most-nominated artist of the 53rd annual Grammy Awards.














On Wednesday night (December 1), Em picked up a staggering 10 Grammy nods, including Song and Record of the Year (for "Love the Way You Lie") and Album of the Year (for Recovery, which is also up for Rap Album of the Year). He also scored noms for Best Rap Solo Performance (for "Not Afraid"), Pop Collaboration With Vocals (for his turn on B.o.B's "Airplanes Part II") and Best Rap Song (for "Lie").

Following (not so) closely behind him is Bruno Mars, who landed seven nominations, followed by Jay-Z, Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga, who earned six apiece. B.o.B and John Legend are among the names who will head into the Grammys with five nominations.

Cobhams Asuquo Gets Married

One of Nigeria's top music producer and singer Cobhams Asuquo is married, he got married to his fiancee today at ‘Jesus is Coming Soon’ Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, inside the Redemption camp along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Bantu's New Video

Bantu bursts right back unto the music scene with his controversial new video ‘Marching To Aso’.

Taken from his new album, No Man Stands Alone, the video follows Bantu as he makes a rallying call to the masses to march and confront the powers that be in the nations seat of power, Aso Rock.

The bold and visually arresting video, was shot in Ajegunle, a local district area of Lagos and home to over 4 million disenfranchised Nigerians from various parts of the oil-producing volatile nation.

The clip was produced & directed by Yoruba soul star: Siji.
