It is only a rumor which started after online reports quoted a source from a Los Angeles hospital who said actor Jackie Chan died while promoting Kung Fu Panda 2. The reports said his heavy schedule "was causing extreme stress and putting too much pressure on his heart." It also said U.S. President Barack Obama had issued a statement with his condolences and MTV was planning a special memorial for Chan on Friday.

Jackie Chan's rep has denied the reports that Jackie Chan died of heart attack by posting statements on Jackie Chan's Facebook fan page and Twitter account.

"Jackie is fine and busy preparing for filming his next movie," his Facebook page said.

"Jackie is alive and well. He did not suffer a heart attack and die," "@EyeofJackieChan" tweeted Tuesday morning.

Jackie Chan is not the only actor who has been a target of a death hoax. Justin Bieber, Gordon Lightfoot, and Jeff Goldblum have also been falsely reported dead but of course they are pretty much alive still.


Rumors Jackie Chan is dead are running rampant on Twitter. The social networking site, no stranger to 'killing off' celebrities on a whim, has sent concerned users hunting down reports of Jackie Chan's death.

This time the celebrity death hoax has jumped borders and crossed into Facebook as well, with a R.I.P. Jackie Chan community group popping up. Despite having made zero posts to explain the page's creation, it has exploded in popularity with over 82,000 'likes.'

Mike Comrie : Hilary Duff's new husband

Hilary Duff's new husband, Mike Comrie, has recently been signed to play for a minimum of one year with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Comrie's contract is not worth very much, though. Perezhilton.com is reporting that his new contract is for a mere $500,000, significantly less than his contract for his old team, the Edmonter Oilers.

Comrie had little to say about his decision to play for the Penguins, other than that he was hopeful in his ability to strengthen the team.

Could his new marriage to the famed American Duff have anything to do with this decision? Hm. Now they won't have to worry about being so far apart from each other!

Let's just hope that Hilary gets a few more acting gigs or that American money is worth a lot more than Canadian money. Ha!

I wonder if Duff and Comrie will be starting a new trend. Perhaps Underwood will soon be changing her mind about moving to Canada with her husband, Mike Fisher!
